We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God revealing the love of God to the world and that it is God’s perfect instruction to mankind.
1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; John 3:16.
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-4 and 1:29; Acts 1:11 and 2:22-24; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4 and 4:15.
We believe that all people everywhere are lost and face the judgment of God; that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit. Furthermore we believe that God will reward the saved with eternal life in heaven, and that He will banish the lost to everlasting punishment in hell. Luke 24:46-47; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23; 2 Corinthians 5:10-11; Ephesians 1:7 and 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7.
We believe that redemption is through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ; that Christ died for the whole world and offers salvation to all mankind. However, those who refuse to come to Christ will not be saved. John 5:40; Eph. 1:7; Heb.2:9; Rev. 22:17.
We believe that in order to become a child of God one must be born again and that salvation is by grace through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ without any mixture of works whatsoever. John 3:3-8; Rom 4:1-6; Eph. 2:8-10; Titus 3:5.
We believe those who receive Jesus Christ by faith are born again, have their sins forgiven, become children of God, are a new creation in Christ, and “are sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption” being kept by the power of God. Ephesians 1:13; 4:30.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life. John 3:5-8; Acts 1:8 and 4:31; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Galatians 5:16-18; Ephesians 6:12; Colossians 2:6-10.
We believe that sanctification is a divine work of grace by which the believer is separated unto God and dedicated unto His righteous purpose that it is not a state of sinless perfection, but a progressive work begun in regeneration and carried on in the life of every believer by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. Prov. 4:18; Rom. 15:16; Phil. 1:6; I Thessalonians 4:3.
We believe that Satan, (the devil) is the instigator of evil and a real spirit being, not simply the personification of evil. He is a fallen angel who, under the sovereign permission of God, has been given a temporary rulership of the earth. He was utterly defeated at the cross but the execution of his judgment has been postponed by God until he is eventually cast into the eternal lake of fire. In the meantime he deceives the world and seeks to establish his counterfeit kingdom on earth to discredit and blaspheme God and to tempt, accuse, attack and destroy believers. He can be resisted by the believer through faith and reliance on the power of the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 5:8-9; John 8:44.
We believe that the church was personally founded by Jesus Christ during His ministry on earth; that it is visible, and recognized in not only the local congregation but also is made up of the sum of believers around the world. Matt. 4:18-22; 16:18; Matt. 18:15-20; I Cor. 1:13.
We believe that Christ commissioned the Church and all believers to preach the gospel and disciple all nations of the earth. Matt. 28:18-20.
We believe the Pastor is the spiritual leader of the church, whose qualifications are defined in I Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
We believe that the church represented in the local body of believers has the right to govern itself under the leadership of the Holy Spirit in accordance with the teachings of the New Testament.
We believe that none but born again believers ought to be church members. Acts 2:41-42; Acts 8:35-39; Rom. 14.1.
We believe in baptism by immersion of the believer in water, symbolizing the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, as well as the believer’s death to the old way of life. Acts 8:36-39; Rom. 6:4; Col 2:12; Matt 28:19
We believe the Lord’s Supper is a memorial done in remembrance of Jesus’ suffering and death and is a proclamation of the gospel; to be done in joyful anticipation of his coming again. The Lord’s Supper should be offered to all those professing to know Jesus as their personal savior with an encouragement to examine their own heart and then partake. I Cor 11:23-29;
We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female. Accordingly, this church, its pastors, staff and members will not participate in same-sex unions or same-sex marriages, nor shall its property or resources be used for such purposes. Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9.
